The TECHNOSEUM has a number of comfortable areas where our guests and relax and take a break. These include the historic “Arbeiterkneipe” (Workers’ Pub) and a small rest area on Level C and F.

 

Photography

The TECHNOSEUM permits still and video photography in its exhibition areas for private, non-commercial purposes. This includes the use of a flash and a tripod. There are no restrictions to this rule and prior registration is not required.
Please contact the press office regarding still and video photography for use in publications and for commercial purposes.

If you’re looking for a fun way to remember your visit to the TECHNOSEUM, we encourage you to visit our museum’s gift shop. You’ll find catalogues, books and posters as well as our museum bags made of recycled advertizing materials.

We offer our guests free Wi-Fi – known in Germany as “WLAN” – throughout the museum. Simply connect to our Wi-Fi/WLAN hotspot „TECHNOSEUM“.

Barrier-Free Accessibility

The TECHNOSEUM is accessible to all visitors, including those in wheelchairs, as well as elderly visitors and children and adolescents with special needs. However, there are some specific points within the building that are not fully barrier-free; for this reason, we ask that you contact us in advance of your visit to let us know. Another option is to book a fully barrier-free tour in advance.

Directions & Parking

Public Transportation
When travelling to the TECHNOSEUM via public transport, we recommend that you find the best route in advance using the online information provided by the local public transport network known as the Verkehrsverbund Rhein-Neckar or VRN. Simply go to VRN-Fahrplanauskunft (VRN Timetable Information) and enter the destination “Mannheim, TECHNOSEUM”.

Important information for visitors arriving by car: Not all navigation systems recognize the museum’s address. Please enter the following “Theodor-Heuss-Anlage 2” to have your navigation system guide you to one of our visitor parking areas (parking area “Friedensplatz 1-3”).
