Our collection focuses on the construction and assembly of vehicles for mass transportation, along with related items and documents such as traffic signs or driving licences. With regard to rail transport, the focus is on the regional railway before 1920, but there are also objects from the German Reichsbahn and Bundesbahn.
The greatest exhibit associated with inland navigation is the Museum ship “Mannheim” on the Neckar river. Besides, the TECHNOSEUM has numerous other exhibits related to preindustrial and industrial navigation. Selected examples also document the mechanization and motorization of agriculture and grain processing. The main exhibits are from the Heinrich Lanz company (today John Deere) in Mannheim.
