Electrical engineering and information technology

The main focus of the electrical engineering collection is on the development of devices for tradesmen and small enterprises as well as domestic electrical appliances – vacuum cleaners and irons are just two examples. The sector of IT and communication technology has expanded considerably in recent years because it is now part of practically every occupation, thanks to computers and their technical possibilities.

The collection concentrates on computers, mostly PCs and their predecessors. It also deals with photography, film, radio and TV. Another main focus is on telecommunication technology, including phones and word processors as well as dictation devices and mailing machines.
